At SGS Create, our vision is to create an educational environment that inspires you to be your best, through an aspirational, supportive and flexible curriculum with learners’ needs at its heart. SGS Create is a full-time 14–16 education provision within SGS College, where students are enrolled as full-time learners and follow a broad and balanced curriculum in line with Department for Education expectations. We provide a calm and supportive environment for students who have found mainstream settings challenging, with clear and consistent expectations that help students feel safe, settled and able to engage. This is not an alternative provision or part-time placement.

Learn Skills
Alongside studying core qualifications they will develop knowledge and understanding in other areas that are desired by employers. They will also complete work experience and carry out vocational study in a field they hope to pursue. We offer support from expert staff, ensuring that learners can achieve and progress.

Gain Qualifications
Learners study a programme of core GCSE or Functional Skills subjects which include English Language, Maths and Science. Learners also study a vocational pathway that is taught by experienced tutors in the wider college.

Improve Confidence
SGS Create is designed specifically for 14–16 year-old learners who are keen and willing to learn but do not thrive within a traditional school setting.

Be Creative and Respectful
Learners may not cope well with the structure in place at most secondary schools and/or suffer with social anxieties. Learners with an interest in the creative sectors will thrive at SGS Create.

Exam Results
Our most recent exam results were well above national averages for similar 14–16 settings, with particularly strong outcomes in English and Maths. These results reflect the impact of our personalised curriculum, high expectations and strong focus on wellbeing, attendance and engagement, supporting learners to progress confidently into their next stage of education or training.

Hello, I’m Tom Beer!
Headteacher at SGS Create.
SGS Create provides a full-time educational environment for 14–16-year-olds who have found mainstream education challenging. Based within SGS College, our provision offers a calm, supportive setting alongside clear and consistent expectations that help students feel safe, settled and able to engage.
We support students who are willing to learn and benefit from a more personalised, relational approach, including those who may require additional pastoral support or a different pathway through Key Stage 4.
Our curriculum combines core subjects such as English, Maths and Science with creative and vocational options including Art & Design, Games Design and Music. This structured approach allows students to build confidence, develop their interests and work towards meaningful qualifications.
Our aim is to prepare students not only for their next steps in education, training or employment, but also to develop the independence and resilience they need beyond SGS Create.
